Our Story

It started with one meal, one neighbor.

Light in You Trust is an India-based charitable trust born the day a few friends realized the elderly woman down the street hadn't eaten a proper meal in days. One tiffin became ten. Ten became a kitchen. The kitchen became a movement.

Today, we run free medical camps, deliver thousands of meals to the elderly, and sponsor the education of children raised by single parents — not because it is easy, but because it is right. Every rupee is accounted for. Every program is run by people who care.

How can I donate to Light in You Trust?

Where does Light in You Trust operate?

We are based in India and run our medical camps, elderly meal programs, and child education sponsorships across multiple under-resourced neighborhoods. We are expanding to new locations as funding allows — partner with us to bring our programs to your community.

How can I volunteer with Light in You Trust?

Volunteers are the heart of what we do. You can help cook and deliver meals, organize medical camps, mentor sponsored children, manage events, or contribute professional skills (design, accounting, legal, medical). Sign up via the contact form on this page.

What percentage of my donation reaches beneficiaries?

Over 95% of every rupee donated reaches our beneficiaries directly. We are volunteer-run, which keeps overheads exceptionally low, and we publish detailed annual transparency reports listing every program expense.

Can I sponsor a specific child or elder?

Yes. We offer one-on-one sponsorship programs for both children's education and elderly meal delivery. You'll receive periodic updates on the person you sponsor. Email hello@lightinyoutrust.org to be matched.
